A Praying Mother
Somewhere, a tearful Mother prays,
She loves her wayward child;
Still caring for her child's lost Soul,
Once so innocent, tender and mild.
While she rocked and sang a lull-a-by,
Her precious child drifted into sleep;
There in the warmth of her loving arms,
Only if the child was ill...she'd weep.
Those tender years are now gone,
Her love is still strong as back then;
She's had years to watch her child grow,
With God's Love to love again and again.
This dear Mother now has a heart to ache,
She waits patiently as her tears flow;
Kneeling to pray, she talks with God,
Her Saviour, she wants this child to know.
God bless every precious Mother who prays,
He knows her dear child will never forget;
Those times of knowing when Mother prayed,
There's peace...God is not finished yet.
There's pleasure in every temptation of sin,
Though it only lasts for a brief season;
When a loving Mother weeps and prays,
Her love for the wayward child, is the reason.

If you treat every situation as a life-and-death matter, you’ll die a lot of times.

"If you wake up in the morning and read my obituary in the paper, don't wonder what bad had happened, cause I didn't run into something bad, I ran into a God that's greater than death."

PERSEVERANCE
Lord, my spirit is willing,
But my flesh is so weak;
God, every day I cry out to you,
Yet I don’t hear you speak.
I’ve been beaten so many times.
You know what I’ve been through;
I can’t overcome this giant.
Yet it’s the only thing I must do.
I fought this trial too many times.
I used all the strength in me;
Yet I lost in every battle,
And once again I’m not free.
Lord, I’m tempted to just call it quits,
And lay here on the ground;
I will let the giant win again.
I have fought too many rounds.
As I am now at my lowest,
Tears flow down my cheeks;
I cry out to God again,
“Jesus, I am just too weak!”
Suddenly I felt my body
Being lifted up by my Lord;
He helped me back on my feet,
And said, “Lets do this once more.”
I stood up to that giant,
And fought as hard as I could;
He used old tactics to make me give up.
Yet he only thought I would.
I was determined to not back down.
I had been here long enough;
It’s not the number of times I get hit.
It’s the number of times I get up.

WHEN I MEET THE MASTER
When I finally meet the Master
I can worship at His feet
I can kiss those blessed nail scarred hands
And his eleven I hope to meet!
What a glorious time of singing
When the angel choirs start
They’ll make heavens rafters echo
With music that will bless my heart.
From my very first day in heaven
And throughout all eternity
I can praise and worship Jesus
What a glorious time that will be.
One of these days I’ll see the angels
Ones of these days I’ll fly away
One of these days I’ll see my Jesus
What a hallelujah day !!.

A HERO
What is a hero?, some people might say,
One who saves lives or takes away pain,
One who gives of himself, places others above,
His own earthly needs and does it for love,
What is a hero?, other people might say,
One who extends his hand, one that saves the day,
One whose heart goes out to reach those in need,
No matter what the cost to perform this selfless deed,
But what is a hero?, To this I will say,
It is my Lord and Savior, to whom I pray,
Jesus is my hero for he has saved my soul,
With his death on Calvary, this was his heavenly goal,
So with this thought, I can say, your a hero to me,
For in you, my Savior Jesus, this do I see,
His love and his grace pour from you for mankind,
And this is what our Lord's word said would be a sign,
Of the ones who love him.

EASTER AT MOTHER'S BEDSIDE
What are you trying to teach me, dear Lord,
As I watch Mother twisting in pain?
I want to learn all that I can from this, Lord,
So her suffering will not be in vain.
Don't let this experience be wasted on me;
Teach me all about patience and grace.
I sit here beside her and ponder what caused
All the lines etched so deep in her face.
Have You kept her on earth til her sons were brought in?
Are her prayers for her boys being heard?
She has been on her knees and is trusting You, Lord,
That the depths of their souls will be stirred.
Are You keeping here here so she'll pray for her girls
As they're coping with all life's demands?
Are her prayers still important for grandchildren, too,
In their homes and in far, foreign lands?
Sometimes it is hard to discover Your will
But for Mother, I haven't a doubt
That some day You'll tell her, "My child, that's enough."
And quietly lead Mother out.

In Prayer
On bended knees, my hands folded softly.
To you I reach, and to those you teach,
I seek the path to forgiveness.
My soul is weak, so to you I speak,
I need your strength to guide me.
My spirit sinks, to your grace I am linked.
Though I fall you are there to catch me.

THE U IN JESUS
Before U were thought of or time had begun,
God stuck U in the name of His Son.
And each time U pray, you'll see it's true,
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.
You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that's why He came.
And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.
Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand
He rose from the dead, with U in His plan?
The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,
and this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.
When JesUs left earth at His upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.
'Go into the world and tell them it's true
That I love them all - Just like I love U.'
